Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026
ORDYNAIRE LLC ("ORDYNAIRE," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website and platform at ordynaire.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why, how it is handled, and the choices you have. We aim to collect only what the Service genuinely needs.
1 — Information We Collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your email address, a password (stored in encrypted form, never in plain text), a handle, and optionally a background line and a profile photo that you choose to upload.
Content you post
When you use features such as the Round Table, we store the posts and replies you submit. This content is visible to other members of the Service.
Payment information
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. ORDYNAIRE does not collect, receive, or store your full payment card number or card security details. Stripe handles that information directly under its own privacy policy. We receive only limited confirmation data, such as whether a payment succeeded and the status of your membership.
Basic usage data
We use Vercel Analytics, a privacy-conscious, first-party analytics tool, to understand general site traffic — for example, how many people visit a page. It does not build advertising profiles and does not track you across other websites.
2 — Essential Browser Storage
ORDYNAIRE uses only essential browser storage — the small amount of data the Service needs to function. Specifically:
- Login session: when you sign in, a secure session token is stored in your browser so you stay logged in.
- Theme preference: your choice of light or dark mode is saved so the Service remembers it on your next visit.
We do not use advertising cookies, marketing trackers, or cross-site tracking of any kind. Because the only storage we use is essential to the Service working, there is no cookie-consent banner — none is required.
3 — How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and maintain your account and keep you signed in;
- Operate the Service, including displaying the content you post to other members;
- Process your subscription and confirm your membership status;
- Send push notifications, if and only if you have enabled them;
- Maintain the security, integrity, and proper functioning of the Service;
- Understand general traffic so we can improve the Service;
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising purposes.
4 — Service Providers
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to operate the Service. They process data only as needed to provide their service to us:
- Supabase — database and account storage (your account information and posted content are stored here).
- Vercel — website hosting and the privacy-conscious analytics described above.
- Stripe — payment processing.
Each of these providers maintains its own privacy policy, and we encourage you to review them.
5 — Notifications
The Service may offer push notifications. These are opt-in and controlled by you. You choose whether to enable them, and you can disable them at any time through your device or browser settings.
6 — Data Retention
We keep your account information and posted content for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete your personal account information and content from our active systems, except for limited copies that may remain in routine backups for a reasonable period, or information we are required to retain by law.
7 — Your Choices & Rights
You have control over your information:
- Access and correction: you can update your profile photo from within the Service. Other account details, such as your handle, are not currently self-editable; if any account information needs to be changed, contact us at the email below.
- Account and data deletion: to delete your account and the personal data associated with it, email us at origin@ordynaire.com and we will process the request.
- Notifications: you can disable push notifications at any time.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights regarding your personal data — such as the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict its use. To exercise any such right, contact us at the email above and we will respond as required by applicable law.
8 — Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted password storage and reliance on established providers for hosting and data storage. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9 — Children
The Service is intended only for people 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10 — Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
